Do not confuse DCS520 with other DeWalt saws

The DCS520 comparison is specifically about the FLEXVOLT track saw. It is not the corded DWS520, nor should information from another DeWalt cordless model be pasted into its specifications. Makita likewise has several cordless plunge saws; this page concerns XPS01.

Check the model plate or full listing identifier when evaluating a used tool or a mixed retailer description. A familiar brand name does not establish voltage, blade requirements or rail compatibility.

What your existing batteries really save

A FLEXVOLT owner should count batteries that are suitable and available for the saw’s work. A Makita owner should count the packs needed to operate and recharge the two-battery XPS01 arrangement. Compare the cost of a complete second platform
